WORKERS’ COMPENSATION LITIGATION
REPRESENTATION OF INJURED WORKERS
|
Return to Work
In many instances, an injured worker’s medical
condition improves to a level where he or she
returns to work. This could involve the employer at
the time of accident or a subsequent employer.
Return to work issues are often dictated by the
opinion of the authorized treating physician.
Opportunities to return to work may arise for those
who have been released to light duty or full duty
employment. Sometimes ongoing workers’ compensation
benefits can be paid to supplement lost earnings
after return to work. Returning to work does not
signify the conclusion of the case in most
instances. In fact, it is crucial that an injured
worker who has returned to work continues to receive
ongoing and uninterrupted authorized medical
treatment in accordance with the legal time frames
in order to maintain eligibility for workers’
compensation benefits.
Mr. Fee and Mr. Chait represent numerous clients
who have returned to work once their medical
conditions stabilize. They educate their clients on
the advantages of returning to work when deemed
appropriate. Moreover, Mr. Fee and Mr. Chait counsel
their clients on the importance of receiving ongoing
authorized medical treatment after their return to
work, as well as keeping their attorney updated, to
protect and maintain the viability of their cases.
